Northfield, MN – The Polars Indoor Track and Field teams competed Saturday at the Meet of the Hearts at Carleton College.
The Polars had two women win three events as
Camille Ring and
Ruth Brueckner won the 200m dash, 600m dash, and long jump. Brueckner won the 600m with a time of 1:42.71 breaking her previous school record time. Brueckner also ran in the 55m hurdles, placing 5
th, and the 200m dash where she placed 7
th.
Ring won the 200m dash with a time of 27.19 and the long jump with a distance of 4.84m for a new school record breaking Mya Hill's record in the 2019-20 season. Ring placed 2
nd in the 55m dash with a time of 7.70 and 2
nd in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.96.
Ella Dufault finished 11
th in the 3000m run with a time of 10:45.85 shattering the previous school record by over 20 seconds.
Abbie Hough ran the 1 Mile and the 3000m where she placed 18
th and 22
nd.
Gabby Fawcett finished in 11
th and 13
th in the Shot Put and the Weight Throw.
Alexander Burnham highlighted the men as he won the shot put with a distance of 12.62m. He also placed 6
th in the weight throw with a distance of 11.41m.
Ashton Hosler competed in multiple events for Crown and had three top ten finishes.

Caden Swoboda,
Luke Klassen,
Matthew VonEdeskuty, Jude McVety, and
Alex Buckheit all competed.
Polars track and field is back in action next week for their final indoor meet of the season at the Gene Glader Classic Saturday, February 17
th before the UMAC Championships the following weekend.
