Grinnell, Iowa - The Polars women's basketball team faced off with the Grinnell College Pioneers on Saturday and fell by a score of 61-35.
Crown scored the first bucket of the day and after a
Brayli Reimer bucket with 7:43 on the clock in the first quarter the Polars led 6-5. The Pioneers would close out the quarter on a 9-6 run and held the lead 14-11 at the end of the first. The next two quarters proved troublesome for Cronw as Grinnell outscored the Polars 31-20 and Grinnell went on to win by the score of 61-35.
Reimer led Crown with 10 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.
Emma Kingsley scored 7 points.
Sydney Cotten grabbed 6 boards to lead Crown.
The Polars fall to 0-7 on the season and will look to find their first win of the season Friday, December 6th when the Polars return home to take on Marantha Baptist at 5:30pm.
