St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars football team took on the UM-Morris Cougars on Saturday evening and fell 27-6.
After a scoreless first quarter Crown got on the scoreboard first with a six yard touchdown run from
Donovan Soloman. After a missed extra point Crown led 6-0. The Cougars rattled off 27 unanswered points to close out the contest. Crown had the ball in the red zone twice but could not convert turning the ball over on downs.Â
Crown was led defensively by
Gabe Banks who grabbed two interceptions in the contest and totaled 10 tackles.
Jared Pardee tallied 12 tackles and 2 tackles for loss.
Millicent Grear totaled 6 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 sack.
Donovan Soloman totaled 64 rushing yards on 18 carries and a rushing touchdown.
Jeremiah Uriarte got his first action of the season and went 6-19 for 116 passing yards with two interceptions.
The Polars fall to 1-7 on the season and will next head on the road to face off with Martin Luther College at 1pm on Saturday, November 9th.
