Superior, WI - The Crown Polars golf teams headed up north this past weekend for the Twin Ports Collegiate.
For the Polars men,
Drake Dawson led the way with round scores of 73 in both rounds for a total score of 146 (+4) good for second place.
Adam Thomas took 12th in the two rounds with scores of 77 and 78 for a two round total of 155 (+13).
Nathan Halseth,
Steven Petkau,
Titus Wookey, and
Charlie West rounded out the rest of the competing Polars with places of 18, 19, 22, and 33. The Polars men finished 3rd as a team.
For the Polars women it was a historic day as sophomore
Kendall Clark finished in 2nd place overall with a two day total of 156 (+14). More importantly Clark finished with a second round score of 72 (+1) which was good for the school record low round score.
Shelby Cash finished in 4th with a two day total of 171 (+29).
Lexi Thomas also cracked the top 10 with a two day total of 175 (+33) good for 8th.
Ashley Larson,
Allie Johnson, and
Camryn Patten rounded out the Polars women with places of 16, 18, and 28. As a team the Crown women finished 2nd.
The Polars will now set their sights on the UMAC Preview which is set to take place this Thursday, September 14th at the Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, MN.
