Box Score 2 St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown volleyball team swept a home triangular with Finlandia and Trinity Bible on Saturday. The Storm earned a pair of 3-0 wins against the non-conference opponents.
Crown started the day with a 3-0 win over Finlandia.
Miranda Brueggeman had eight kills and 13 digs for the home team, while
Taylor Urcuyo and
Alayna Kohler shared the team lead with 17 digs.
Brittany Gamer and
Kelsey Roschen split the setting duties, earning 11 and nine assists respectively.
After watching Finlandia beat Trinity Bible in four sets, the Storm took their turn battling the squad from Ellendale.
Crown cruised to another three set win, led by nine kills from Brueggeman, who continued her big day by also leading the team with 11 digs. Gamer and Roschen combined for 26 assists as Crown hit .200 for the game.
Crown will host Hamline in non-conference action this coming Monday at 7 p.m.
