Andy Lambert Named Vice President of Athletics

St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College has named Andy Lambert as its new Vice President of Athletics. Partnering with a search firm to identify a strong pool of candidates for this important leadership role, numerous applicants were reviewed. Welcoming three finalists to campus, it became increasingly clear that Andy Lambert is the individual the Lord has prepared to lead Crown Athletics in its next chapter.

"What stood out during the search process was Andy's deep commitment to Christ, his proven leadership track record, and his passion for developing coaches and building a healthy organizational culture. His faith is central to his life and leadership, and he views athletics as a powerful platform for discipleship, character formation, and Kingdom impact," said Crown College President Andrew Denton.

Lambert brings more than 30 years of experience in Christian higher education and collegiate athletics. His experience includes 26 seasons as a head football coach, more than 6 years as an Athletic Director, service on a President's Cabinet, and, most recently, as Vice President of Student Development at Greenville University in Illinois. Throughout his career, he has successfully rebuilt and strengthened athletic programs, developed Christ-centered team cultures, improved student-athlete retention and academic performance, and led teams to success both on and off the field.

"My wife, Betsy, and I believe Crown College is a God-ordained fit for us and look forward to seeing what He might do in our time here. We are grateful for the opportunity to support the momentum Crown is experiencing and can't wait to see the Lord's future unfold in the lives of faculty, staff, and students," said Lambert.

Throughout the interview process, Lambert consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to Christ and a passion for developing student-athletes and coaches. His faith is central to his life and leadership, and he views athletics as a powerful opportunity to shape character, strengthen faith, and prepare students for lives of Kingdom impact. He has a proven track record of mentoring coaches, building healthy team cultures, and fostering an environment where people are challenged, supported, and equipped to flourish.

Lambert will begin serving as Vice President of Athletics on July 1. He and his wife, Betsy, have four grown daughters and are the proud grandparents of three grandchildren.
