St. Bonifacius, Minn. — The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference recognized four Crown College golfers with postseason honors Wednesday, capping a successful fall season for the Polars' men's and women's programs.
Junior
Steven Dimmel headlined the men's awards, earning Second-Team All-Conference honors after one of the finest individual seasons in recent program history. Dimmel posted a team-leading 77.8 round average on the year and recorded two top-five finishes. His season culminated at the UMAC Championship, where he fired a 71 in the second round of the 54-hole event — the low round of his tournament — on his way to a runner-up finish with a three-round total of 227 (+11).
Grant Oakland was selected to the UMAC All-Sportsmanship Team, an honor chosen by Crown's head coach to recognize a player who exemplifies the values of integrity and character on and off the course.
On the women's side,
Shelby Cash earned Second-Team All-Conference recognition after a standout fall campaign. Cash finished with an 83.6 scoring average — eighth-best in the conference — and was a model of consistency throughout the season, finishing in the top 10 in every tournament she entered. She claimed a first-place finish at the Morris Dual, added two additional top-five finishes, and recorded six top-10 finishes overall.
Autumn Hill also received recognition, earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors after posting a 101.7 round average with one top-five and two top-10 finishes on the season. Hill was additionally selected to the UMAC All-Sportsmanship Team by Crown's head coach.
With the fall season now complete, the Polars will look to build on this momentum when they return to action in spring competition.
