St. Bonifacius - Ocker hits another walk off in game one of Wednesday doubleheader.
Crown bats came alive in game one of the doubleheader, racking up 16 total hits. Seniors,
Maria Lilienthal and
Itzel Valles led the way with 3 hits a piece.
Brooklyn Ocker and Lilienthal batted in 3 runs a piece. Lead off hitter
Emmy Romportl, and freshmen,
Megan Cryer and
Savanna Gumowski all had 2 RBIs. The game went back in forth in the final stretch, before Ocker lined one off the wall, plating Lilienthal and winning the game for the Polars, 14-13. Romportl, the winning pitcher from game one, remained in the circle for game two. She was able to keep the Saints at bay for 5 innings. Crown was unable to produce the offense seen in game one and dropped the late game, 1-11.
Crown will return to conference play with a home weekend series with North Central. They will celebrate senior day between games on Saturday!
