St. Paul, MN - Eagles offense too much for Polars, they drop the last two games of the series.
Crown softball traveled back to St. Paul to wrap of the three game series against the Eagles from University of Northwestern. Three batters into game one, the Polars put 3 runs on the board thanks to a
Emmy Romportl double,
Lindsey Stapleton single, and
Maria Lilienthal home run. Polars were unable to score past the 1st inning, leading to a 3-12 loss in game one of the doubleheader. Only offense in game 2 came from a
Brooklyn Ocker 2-run RBI double, which followed a fielders choice that plated one. Crown stalled out at 3 runs and the Eagles hot bats continued, leading to a 3-20 loss in the final game.
Polars softball will compete in a nonconfernce double header on Wednesday at home against St. Scholastica.
