New Ulm, Minn. - The women's tennis team traveled to Martin Luther on Thursday, falling 5-2 to the Knights to move to 2-1 in conference play.
In doubles action, Xeng Her and Maya Wuotila battled in a tight 7-5 loss at No. 1. Amy Eckstrom and Reagan Cocking responded with a 7-5 victory in the No. 2 spot. The doubles point came down to the No. 3 match, where the Knights secured a close win to take the early lead.
In singles play, Her and Wuotila accounted for the Polars' two points. Her earned a three-set victory at No. 2 singles, winning 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. Wuotila also went the distance at No. 3 singles, rallying for a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 win.
The Polars will travel to the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Friday, April 24 for their next match.
