St. Paul, MN - Softball unable to comeback after falling behind early to University of Northwestern.
Eagles got the scoring right away thanks to a lead off double and 3-run home run. After 3 innings of play, Eagles held an 11-0 lead.
Maria Lilienthal scored the first run for the Polars in the 4th inning on a passed ball. Crown rallied again in the 5th.
Lindsey Stapleton tallied her second walk of the contest, Lilienthal slashed a single in the gap, leaving runners on the corners. Itzel Valled sent one over the center field fence to close the gap. Eagles were able to seal the victory in the bottom of the 6th, 14-4.
Polars will continue the series against Northwestern.
