Polars Win Big Against Eagles on Senior Day

St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Head coach David Pederson earned his first win against his former team on Saturday as the Polars defeated University of Northwestern – St. Paul 59-37 on Senior Day. Morgan Bednarek tied the program's single-game rebounding record, while Brayli Reimer finished just two assists shy of a triple-double.

The Eagles jumped out to an early advantage, building a nine-point lead midway through the first quarter. The Polars responded with a dominant defensive stretch, holding Northwestern scoreless for eight minutes while putting together a 12-0 run to take a three-point lead. Although the Eagles briefly reclaimed a two-point edge, the Polars quickly regained control and never trailed again.

In the second half, Crown's defense was stifling, limiting Northwestern to just 12 total points while outscoring the Eagles 29-12 over the final two quarters.

Bednarek led all scorers with 22 points, adding a block and two steals. She also pulled down 21 rebounds, matching the program's single-game record. Reimer continued to fill the stat sheet with 17 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. Senior Kendall Clark capped her regular season career with five points, one rebound, and one assist.

As a team, the Polars controlled the glass, outrebounding the Eagles 50-37.

Crown closes the regular season with three straight conference wins and will compete in the NCCAA Regional Tournament in March
