Tyler Smith Breaks More Records in a Dominant Win on Senior Day

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The men's basketball team hosted the University of Northwestern – St. Paul on Senior Day, earning an 85-66 victory as Tyler Smith continued his record-breaking season.

The Polars came out firing, scoring the first 11 points of the contest. Northwestern trimmed the deficit to five later in the first half, but that proved to be the closest margin of the game. Crown led wire-to-wire in a dominant win on Senior Day.

After breaking the program's single-season records for blocks and rebounds on Wednesday, Smith added to his historic week on Saturday. His 13 assists marked the most in a single game in program history and allowed him to break the single-season assist record as well. Smith finished with 16 rebounds, two more blocks, two steals, and six points, impacting the game in every facet. Colby Deluce added 14 points and 5 rebounds on an efficient 6-of-11 shooting performance.

The Polars honored seniors Parker Behne, Donovon Washington, Levi Royston, PJ Ebeling, Noah Ahooja, Cade Roelofs, and Jackson DiBona, all of whom saw meaningful minutes in the game.

Crown secured the No. 3 seed in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference playoffs and is expected to travel to University of Minnesota Morris on Wednesday evening for the first round.
