Dundas, Minn. - The Polars softball team faced off with Martin Luther on Friday in a non-conference matchup and came out on top 11-2.
After a one, two, three top of the first Crown tallied 3 hits, scoring 4 runs to take the 4-0 lead. The Knights answered back scoring two runs in the top of the second inning. From that point forward Crown's offense exploded for seven more runs as the Polars went on to win 11-2.
Itzel Valles went 3 for 3 totaling 5 RBI's in the game.

Sophie Monsman both had multi hit efforts.
Emmy Romportl pitched three innings allowing just four hits while striking out four to earn the win.
Brooklyn Riley pitched two innings allowing zero hits.
The Polars move to 2-1 on the season and will next head to the Augsburg tournament and face off with UW-River Falls and Augsburg next weekend.
