Box Score St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars hosted the University of Minnesota Morris on Wednesday for their second straight home conference game. The Polars fell by a score of 73–39.
Kendall Clark led the charge for the Polars in the first quarter, knocking down two three-pointers. Sydney Cotten added two buckets for four points in the quarter, including the first basket of the game. Morgan Bednarek also converted an and-one opportunity, giving her three points in the opening period. In the second quarter, it was all Bednarek and Clark, as Clark connected on another three, giving her a team-leading nine points at halftime.
In the third quarter, Brekyn Hanson and Avery Youngblood entered the scoring column, but it was Cotten who led the team with five points, including a three-pointer and a pair of free throws. The fourth quarter saw baskets from Cotten, Clark, and Hanson.
Cotten led the Polars in scoring with 12 points to go along with four steals, while Clark added 11 points. Bednarek chipped in nine points, 12 rebounds, and four assists.
The Polars will travel to the University of Northwestern on Saturday afternoon before heading to Wisconsin–Superior next Wednesday.
