Morris, MN - Volleyball falls to Cougars 3-1 in conference opener.
The Polars volleyball team hit the road Tuesday for their conference opener against the Cougars, ultimately falling 3–1 in a competitive match. The Polars started strong, taking the opening set 25–22 with energy. However, the Cougars responded with momentum of their own, winning the second set 25–13 before claiming sets three and four to secure the match. Freshman Brenna Claseman continued to impress, leading the Polars with 9 kills on the night. Setter Brooke Rummel, a steady presence this season, added 19 assists to her season total. On the defensive end, Kiana Kendall anchored the back row with a team-high 17 digs.
The Polars will look to bounce back on Friday as they continue UMAC play on the road against the Martin Luther Knights in New Ulm.
