St. Bonifacius, MN - Men's Soccer Falls in Final Non-Conference Match Against Mt. Marty

Following the afternoon football home opener, the Men's Soccer team welcomed Mt. Marty University from South Dakota for their final non-conference game of the season. The Polars came out focused and stuck to their game plan throughout the first half. The Lancers struck first at the 23rd minute, putting Mt. Marty ahead early. Returning forward Ashton Hosler, getting some of his first minutes of the year after recovering from injury, made an immediate impact by scoring his first goal. The Polars and Lancers went into halftime tied 1-1.The second half belonged to Mt. Marty, who scored early in the 47th minute and later converted a penalty kick in the 80th minute to secure the win.

With non-conference play complete, Men's Soccer now shifts focus to UMAC competition, beginning with a home game against Martin Luther on Wednesday, September 17th.
