Box Score St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars lost 45-7 in their home opener against the Simpson College Storm.
An early Polars turnover deep in their own territory led to a touchdown for the Storm, and put the score at 7-0 after the first quarter. The Storm would get 10 more in the second quarter bringing their halftime lead to 17-0. One more touchdown in the third and another shutout quarter for the Storm made the score 24-0 through 3 quarters. 21 more unanswered points to start the fourth quarter nearly doubled the Storm lead with under 3 minutes to play. Donovan Soloman 7-yard touchdown run, which was set up by a 78-yard run from Quarterback
Jamarrius Courtney on the first play of the drive. Simpson would run out the final two minutes of the clock, and would defeat the Polars by a score of 45-7.
