St. Bonifacius, MN – The Crown men's soccer team opened the 2025 season with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against UW-Stout on a beautiful Friday evening.
Despite dominating time of possession throughout both halves, the Polars were unable to break through the Blue Devils' defense—even with a man advantage for most of the match. Goalkeeper Leo Roque recorded a clean sheet, making three key saves to secure the shutout.
On the attack, Jose Lovera led the offensive effort with five shots, including two on target. He was supported by Marcus Banegas and Joaquin Silva, who each contributed three shots as the Polars pressed forward in search of a goal. The team now turns its focus to building on last season's impressive offensive output as they continue their 2025 campaign.
The Polars hit the road for their next match, taking on Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN on Wednesday, September 3rd at 4 p.m.
