St. Bonifacius, Minn. - Crown College Athletics is excited to announce Morgan Pederson as the Polars next Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach.
Pederson is new to collegiate coaching, but assisted with the Luther College golf team in 2021. As a captain for the Norse she stepped into leadership roles during college seasons, mentoring teammates and helping guide her teammates through coaching transitions.
"My vision is to create a program where each individual athlete is encouraged to grow—not just in golf, but in life. I want to build a culture where players are excited to represent Crown and strive to reach their potential on and off the course," said Pederson.Â
She had a decorated playing career at Luther College as a four time All-Conference honoree and two year team captain earning the American Rivers Conference Most Valuable Player Award in 2019.Â
"We are excited to welcome Morgan to the Polars family. She brings an impressive skill set and a wealth of golf experience, and she will continue to grow our golf programs with Jesus at the center." said Director of Athletics
Steve Tebbs.
Pederson will be taking on another role at the college as the Coordinator of Student Success. She is a Sauk Centre, Minnesota native and graduated from Luther College in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Management.
"I'm incredibly thankful for this opportunity and humbled to step into this role. I'd like to thank the Crown College athletic department and leadership team for the opportunity, and I'm excited to work alongside the student-athletes!" said Pederson.
Morgan recently married the Polars Head Women's Basketball Coach David Pederson. She has a Goldendoodle named Birdie and outside of golf enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling to explore new places.
