Minneapolis, Minn. - The Polars softball team faced off with the University of Wisconsin River Falls on Saturday and fell by scores of 8-2 and 8-0.
An early 3-0 lead from the Falcons was cut to just one run after a
Kaylee Fude double scoring
Kylei Abreo and an
Emmy Romportl single scoring Fude. Crown left 4 runners on base in the remaining innings and Crown fell 8-2 in seven innings. The second game saw Crown total 2 hits and drop the contest 8-0 in five innings.
Emmy Romportl pitched a complete game totaling 7 innings in game one and tabbed two hits across the two contests. Fude and Romportl both had one RBI each.
Abbie Carroll pitched all four innings of game two.
The Polars fall to 0-7 on the season and will next head down to Florida for the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic starting on Friday, March 14th at 10am (CST) against Elms College.
