Naples, FL – The Polars softball team faced off with Elms and Alverno on Friday morning and came out on top 11-0 and 16-11.
Game one went Crown's way as the Polars took a 9-0 lead after the first two innings wound up scoring 11 runs on ten hits to take home the 11-0 victory in five innings.
Abbie Carroll pitched 4 innings only allowing three hits and earned the win.
Maria Lilienthal and
Abbey Underdahl both totaled 2 hits.
Game two saw the Polars fall behind 9-3 in the 5th inning, but a strong offense effort in the bottom half allowed Crown to take an 11-9 lead and eventually the 16-11 victory. Lilienthal and
Morgan Aylsworth both had three hits in the game.
Crown moves to 2-7 on the season and will next take on Lesley University and Geneva College tomorrow March 15th.
