Tucson, AZ - The Polars baseball team faced off with Concordia St. Paul on Thursday afternoon and fell by a score of 19-12.
After three innings Concordia took an 8-3 lead. The Polars scored first off an Ashton Long RBI walk, then an RBI groundout from Louis Garcia, and a solo home run from Tyler Bloom. Crown trailed 14-8 in the 5th inning after pushing across 4 runs in the 4th and 1 run in the 5th. Concordia St. Paul pulled away with the 19-12 victory.
Bloom and Tyler Olson both has three hits in the contest. Drew Girtz tabbed 3 RBI's and Garcia added 2 RBI's. Phillip Jackson, Cole Vahovick, Michael Escalante, and Caleb Landry all pitched in the contest. Landry threw 2.2 innings and did not allow an earned run.
The Polars will next take on Concordia University (WI) Friday March 7th at 11am down in Tucson, Arizona.
