St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars baseball team faced off with North Central on Friday and came out on top 14-13 in extra innings and 10-4.
Crown jumped out to a 12-3 lead after 5 innings of play in game one, but the Rams battled back putting crooked numbers on the scoreboard to take the 13-12 lead after 8 innings. Crown was down to their final out when 
Kyler Thruston came up with a clutch hit to right center field to tie it up. After almost 4 hours on the diamond the Polars pusheed across a run on a wild pitch to walk it off and win 14-13 in 11 innings.
As a team the Polars totaled 12 hits and had four players with multi hit efforts. 
Bryan Gerbers totaled 3 RBI's to lead the offensive effort. Aidan Volk Specht pitched 5 innings and alloed 3 earned runs striking out 10 batters. Phillipp Jackson, 
John Brew, and 
Quentin Holmes pitched wth Holmes earning the win.
Game two saw Crown jump out in front early and pull out to a 6-0 lead. The Rams battled back but the Polars held off the Rams and won 10-4. 
Ryan Vondracek pitched 5 innings allowing just 4 hits and 0 earned runs in the effort and earned the win. 
Danny Gallardo, 
Mitchell Cox, and 
Cole Vahovick all pitched for Crown.
The Polars move to 9-10 on the season and 4-2 in UMAC play and will next head up north to face UW-Superior for a three game series starting on Saturday, April 6th at 1pm.
