Maple Grove, Minn. - The Polars softball team faced off with North Central on Thursday and came out on top 17-3.
Crown started the game with four straight hits and took the 4-0 lead heading to the bottom half of the first inning. Hits from
Morgan Aylsworth,
Emmy Romportl, and
Maria Lilienthal led to the Polars women taking a commanding 9-0 lead. Crown continued to pour out the offense rallying to score 8 more runs over the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings cruising to the victory.
Romportl, Lilienthal, and
Itzel Valles all had three hits in the contest with Valles totaling 4 RBI's.
Katie Vaughan hit her second home run of the season. The Polars totaled 16 hits as a team.
The Polars move to 7-12 on the season and 2-2 in UMAC play and will finish up the three game series with the Rams tomorrow March 28th starting at 2pm.
