Romportl Totals 4 Hits, Polars Drop Game to Minnesota Morris 10-7

Morris, MN - The Polars softball team faced off with Minnesota Morris on Friday and fell 10-7.

Crown jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the second inning, but the Cougars answered with a 9 run third inning. The Polars put together a three run 4th inning and cut the lead to 9-5. After one run from the Cougars, the Polars found life in the top of the 7th inning but were unable to complete the comeback falling 10-7.

Emmy Romportl went 4-5 at the plate totaling 3 RBI's. Itzel Valles tabbed two hits in the contest as well.

The Polars fall to 5-11 on the season and 0-1 in UMAC play as they finish up their three game series against UM-Morris tomorrow March 22nd at 1pm and 3pm.
