Naples, Florida - The Polars softball team faced off with Alverno and St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on Tuesday defeating the Inferno 11-2 and falling to the Bears 10-2.

The first game of the day saw Crown fall behind 2-1 after 3 innings. Everything changed in the 4th inning as the Polars put together a 7 hit inning. After a single from Kaylee Fude Crown rattled off four hits and five walks to take the 11-2 lead. Crown batted around the lineup taking home the win. Five different Polars earned two hit efforts. Emmy Romportl pitched all 5 innings striking out 5 batters in the process earning her third win of the season.

In game two St. Joseph's jumped out to an early 4-1 lead after the second inning. Crown had their opportunities after that moment as every inning the Polars left runners on base. The Bears pulled away in the 5th and 6th innings putting otgether 3 run innings and ending the game in the 6th. Abbie Carroll pitched 5.1 innings for the Polars in the circle. Crown totaled 5 hits in the game.

The Polars move to 5-10 on the season and will open up conference play on the road at the University of Minnesota Morris for a three game series starting on Friday, March 21st at 3:30pm.
