St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars women's basketball team faced off with UM-Morris on Wednesday and fell by a score of 64-51.
The Cougars jumped out to an 11-3 lead halfway through the first quarter. Crown got a few baskets but fell behind 16-7 after the first quarter. The Polars found a burst of offense in the second quarter after three made triples from
Brekyn Hanson and
Jacee Glasgow.
UM-Morris held the lead 29-22 at half. A big third quarter from the Cougars stretched the lead to sixteen points. The Polars were unable to jumpstart a comeback and Morris came out on top.
Isabelle Sager totaled 13 points and 12 rebounds for a double double.
Brayli Reimer totaled 10 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. As a team Crown went 20-67 from the field shooting 29.9% and 7-31 from three-point range shooting 22.6%.
Crown falls to 2-18 on the season and 1-8 in UMAC and play will return home to face North Central on Saturday, February 8th at 2:45pm.
