Madison, WI - The Polars tennis teams battled in two contests on Saturday at the Powless Tennis Center and both teams lost in both contests.
The Crown men fell 7-0 to Edgewood in their first contest of the day. In the #1 singles match
David Comings fell 6-1 and 6-4. In the #4 singles match
Dawson Richardson fell 6-2 and 7-5. The second match of the day also didn't go the Polars way as they faced Dubuque. In the #2 singles match
Matt Comings dropped the first set 7-6 after a 9-7 tiebreaker and fell 6-2 in the second set.
The Crown women fell 7-0 to Edgewood.
Annie Doyle and
Amanda Helser battled in the #2 doubles match just falling short in a tiebreaker 8-6. The Polars faced Dubuque and lost 6-1 as
Xeng Her won by default and
Annie Doyle lost in a tiebreaker 10-3.
The Polars tennis teams are next in action Friday, February 7th against Saint Mary's in WInona, Minnesota at 5pm.
