A true Minnesota fall evening set the stage on Tuesday night in St. Bonifacius, where the Crown Polars faced off against the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars in a key UMAC matchup. Kickoff brought cool temperatures around 60 degrees and a light breeze — a calmer atmosphere compared to the blustery Homecoming weather just days before. The match remained scoreless until the 28th minute, when Morris broke through with a perfectly placed free kick just outside the 18-yard box. The Cougars extended their lead late in the game, converting a penalty kick in the 78th minute after a foul inside the box, making it 2–0. Crown ramped up the pressure in the final minutes, creating several promising chances. Their efforts were rewarded with a goal at the final whistle.
