Minneapolis, MN - Rams win rivalry match on Friday night.
Closing in on the end of the UMAC schedule, Crown volleyball traveled into the big city to take on North Central University. The last time these two teams faced off, the Polars swept the Rams at home. The Rams came out firing, taking the first set 25-18. Crown answered back with a dominant 25-9 win in the second, showing their offensive firepower. The remaining sets were a back-and-forth battle, keeping the crowd on edge with every rally. In the decisive fifth set, North Central held strong to pull out a 15-12 victory and take the match.
Delano Boone and Alyssa Harney both turned in huge performances, recording 15 and 14 kills respectively. Setter Brooke Orazem was the engine behind the Polars' offense, dishing out 35 assists on the night.
Crown will have a quick turnaround as they face the Eagles from Northwestern in an afternoon match up.
