Box Score St. Bonifacius, MN - Cougars take mid week match against Polars.
The final action of a busy Tuesday for Crown athletics saw the Polars volleyball team hosting the Minnesota Morris Cougars, kicking off a favorable stretch with four of their next five matches at home. The opening set slipped away from Crown after Morris put together a pair of five-point runs, shifting the momentum and taking the early 1-0 lead. The second set was tightly contested early, with both teams trading short runs, but a late six-point surge from the Cougars pushed them to 25 first, giving them the 2-0 advantage. With their backs against the wall in the third, the Polars showed grit and energy, battling to a 22-20 scoreline late. But Morris closed it out in the final moments.
Crown volleyball will head into Minneapolis to play North Central University before returning back home for a three match stretch.
