Roseville, MN - Crown volleyball falls 3-0 to top ranked Eagles.
For the second night in a row, Crown volleyball faced a top ranked UMAC opponent, this time on the road against the University of Northwestern, the conference's lone undefeated team. After a home match Friday night against UW-Superior, the quick turnaround proved tough for the Polars. The Eagles came out strong, taking an early lead in the first set and never looking back. The second set followed a similar pattern as Northwestern claimed a 2-0 advantage. Crown responded with energy in the third set, battling to an 11-10 lead. However, a late surge by Northwestern gave the Eagles the edge they needed to close out the sweep.
The Polars will be back in action Tuesday night as they host the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars at 7 p.m.
