Morris, MN - Men's soccer scores three goals in four minutes to push past the Cougars.
A late afternoon match up in Morris saw the Polars men's soccer squad looking for redemption after a narrow 2-1 loss to the Cougars just eight days earlier. Early signs pointed to another tough outing, as Minnesota Morris found the net in the 37th minute and carried a 1-0 lead into halftime. But the second half told a different story. Fueled by the halftime talk, the Polars came out aggressive and flipped the script with an explosive offensive burst. Crown scored three goals in quick succession, at the 55th, 57th, and 59th minutes, thanks to finishes from Noah Feneis, Jose Lovera, and Jordan Gallow, surging ahead 3-1. Morris responded with a goal just over a minute later, but the Polars held firm the rest of the way to secure a thrilling 3-2 victory on the road.
Crown now turns its attention to a rematch against UW-Superior this Saturday, once again on the road.
