Minneapolis, MN - Freshmen score both goals as Polars top Rams 2-1.
The rivalry clash between the Rams and Polars kicked off as expected with high energy and a deadlock through the opening half-hour. That changed in the 35th minute when freshman Noah Fenesis broke the stalemate, giving the Polars a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. With momentum on their side, Crown looked poised for a strong second half. However, the Rams struck back immediately, scoring within the first minute of the restart to level the match. From there, it was a tightly contested battle, with both teams creating promising chances but unable to convert. The breakthrough finally came late in the second half when Jared Hernandez stepped up. The freshman netted his second goal of the season in clutch fashion, securing a hard-fought victory for the Polars.
Next up, Crown Men's Soccer will face the University of Northwestern on Homecoming Saturday at 1 p.m.
