Minneapolis, Minn. - The Polars women's basketball team faced off with North Central on Saturday and fell by a score of 54-43.
After a couple of
Brekyn Hanson three point baskets Crown held a 9-7 lead going into the second quarter. The Rams found their offensive rhythm as they jumped back out in front 25-21 at the end of the second quarter. Crown took the lead back with 4:39 to play in the 3rd quarter off of an
Isabelle Sager basket, but a late surge from North Central gave the Rams the 39-33 lead. The Polars cut the lead to just four points but were unable to comeback dropping the contest.
Brekyn Hanson tallied 18 points and 2 steals. Sager totaled 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Sydney Cotten also had double digit rebounds with 10. Crown as a team shot 27.6% from the field going 16-58.
The Polars fall to 2-13 on the season and 1-3 in UMAC play and will next travel to take on Minnesota Morris on Wednesday, January 22nd at 7:15pm.
