St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars women's basketball team faced off with Bethany Lutheran on Saturday and fell by a score of 62-30.
The Vikings took a 7-1 lead early in the first quarter and held the lead throughout the first half as they led by a score of 36-8 at the break. The third quarter saw new life for the Polars as Crown went on a 10-2 run sparked by a few baskets from
Sydney Cotten and
Isabelle Sager. The Vikings went on to win by a score of 62-30.
Cotten led the scoring with 9 points. Sager led the Polars with 7 rebounds and 3 steals on the evening. Crown shot 22.5% as a team and 75% from the free throw line.
The Polars fall to 2-12 on the season and 1-2 in UMAC play and will next take on North Central on the road on Saturday, January 18
th at 4:45pm.
