St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars women's basketball team faced off with Martin Luther on Saturday and fell by a score of 76-36.
An 11-0 run favored the Knights to start the contest but the Polars answered scoring on two baskets from
Brekyn Hanson. The Knight took a 28-8 lead going into the second quarter. The Polars struggled to score in the second and Martin Luther held the 48-13 lead at halftime. The Polars were able to outscore the Knights in the 4th quarter but Crown fell 76-36.
Hanson led the scoring with 8 points and
Sydney Cotten scored 7 of her own. The Polars as a team shot 22.6% from the field.
Crown falls to 2-11 on the season and 1-1 in UMAC play and will next take on Bethany Lutheran College at home on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:15pm.
