St. Bonifacius, MN - The Polars softball team faced off with Minnesota Morris on Monday and fell by a score of 8-1.
The Cougars pushed a run across in the top of the 1st inning before Crown saw two base runners stranded to end the bottom half. Morris tacked on a few more in the 3rd, 5th, and 6th innings to take the 8-1 victory. The Polars totaled 2 hits in the contest as the lone Crown run came in the 5th inning off of a
Catelyn Garza single.
Katie Vaughan went 1-3 in the contest and Garza went 1-4.
Emmy Romportl earned a stolen base in the game.
Abbie Carroll pitched all 7 innings and was credited with the loss.
The Polars fall to 5-18 on the year and face off with the Cougars for the final two games of the series in a doubleheader tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9th with the first game starting at 2pm.
