New Ulm, MN - The Polars baseball team faced off with Martin Luther on Thursday and took home the win 19-2.
Crown piled on the runs starting in the first inning with 2 runs after a few hits and an RBI single from
Tyler Bloom. A five run 3rd inning was sparked by home runs from
Howie Hatton and
Bryan Gerbers. The Polars scored more than two runs in every inning from the 3rd through the 7th inning.
Matthew Shaugabay also hit a home run in the contest as Crown took the victory.
Shaugabay totaled 4 RBI's in the contest on 2 hits.
Mason Brock tallied 3 hits and 2 RBI's and
Ethan Habetler tallied three hits.
Tristan Camp pitched a complete game 7 innings allowing just 2 earned runs on 9 hits.Â
The Polars move to 13-16 on the season and 11-5 in UMAC play as they will face off with the Knights once again this Saturday in a doubleheader with a trip to the UMAC playoffs waiting int the balance.Â
