Mankato, MN - The Polars softball team faced off with the Bethany Lutheran College Vikings on Sunday and fell by a score of 9-1.
The Vikings pushed runs across first taking a two run lead before Crown was able to score one of their own on an error putting the score at 2-1. A big 4th and 5th inning gave the Vikings the 9-1 lead and the Polars were not able to answer as Crown fell 9-1.
The Polars totaled 3 hits as they came from
Emmy Romportl,
Maliya Martinez, and
Sydney Gardner.
Abbey Underdahl and
Kaylee Fude both drew walks. Romportl pitched 4 innings and allowed just 2 earned runs.Â
Crown falls to 5-23 on the season and 3-9 in UMAC play and will next play UW-Stout in a road non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday, April 24th starting at 4pm.
