Minneapolis, MN - The Polars Men's Basketball team faced off with Spurgeon College on Friday and took home the 86-72 win.
The first ten minutes of play was all Knights as Spurgeon jumped out in front 21-6. The Polars battled right back and took the lead 27-26 with just over 4 minutes remaining in the first half as
Cade Carroll started to heat up. However the Knights ended the first half up by 3 points. Crown held a slim lead throughout the next ten minutes of play leading by as much as 5 points. The next two minutes saw Carroll push Crown out in front by eighteen points and earn the 14 points victory.
Carroll set the school record for points in a game with 45 points a record that was broken this season by teammate
Tyrus Buckner. Carroll also grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Polars. Buckner totaled 10 points and 9 rebounds.Â
Crown moves on to the NCCAA DII Championship game where they will face for the 4th time this season the Rams of North Central tomorrow, March 16th at 6pm.
