Ankeny, IA - The Polars Men's Basketball team faced off with the Faith Baptist Eagles on Tuesday and came out on top 97-55.

Tyrus Buckner sparked an early lead in the contest as Crown was out in front by 8 points with 12:38 to play in the first half. Faith Baptist cut the lead to just 5 points a few minutes later. The Polars offense came alive late in the first half as Crown held the 42-26 lead heading into the break. From then on the Polars offense poured on the points and never looked back as Crown came out on top 97-55.
Cade Carroll and
Tyrus Buckner both scored 14 points in the contest. Carroll also grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the Polars. A lot of newcomers saw action on Tuesday as both
Colby Deluce and
Tristan Youngblood saw over 15 minutes and scored 14 points each.
PJ Ebeling also scored 11 points in the game.Â
As a team Crown shot 54.7% from the field going 35-64 and 35.3% from three point range going 12-34. In total, Crown found 54 points off the bench and 36 points in the paint.
The Polars move to 14-7 on the year and will return home for a senior night matchup with Northland College at 7:15pm this Friday, February 9th.
