St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars volleyball team took on Wisconsin-Superior Saturday afternoon and fell 3-0.
Crown honored their five seniors
Lauren Dolton,
Sage Johnston,
Jocelynn Shockley,
Abbey Underdahl, and
Skylar Ternes prior to the match starting. The Yellowjackets started the match out hot scoring the first six points of the match. Crown was able to score a few but ultimately dropped the first set 25-5. The Polars battled early in the second set cutting the Superior lead to 13-11, but a twelve to three run to end the set favored the Yellowjackets. The third set was a battle with the score tied six times and four lead changes. Superior took the third set 25-19 to close out the contest.
Emma Bottelberghe tallied 5 kills and 11 digs leading in both categories.
Madilyn Smith had 2 blocks in the contest and
Brooke Rummel totaled 11 assists.
The Polars fall to 6-14 on the season and 1-11 in UMAC play. Next Crown travels to Minneapolis to take on North Central on Friday, November 8th at 7pm.
