St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars men's basketball team took on Faith Baptist on Friday night and came out on top 91-60.
The Eagles jumped out in front early with a couple of made buckets 9-5 with 15:13 to go in the first half.
Parker Behne and
Tristan Youngblood brought a spark combining to take back the lead and control of the game 17-9. Crown held the lead throughout the half out in front by fourteen points with the score sitting at 47-33 at the break in favor of the Polars.
The second half saw the Polars really come into their own, going on a 27-3 run to take a commanding lead. Crown subbed in a number of players with 13:29 left in the contest. From then on out the Polars closed out the contest as the final score read 91-60 favoring Crown.
Parker Behne,
John Grigsby, and Tyrus Bucker all totaled 12 points.
Carter Behne and
Tristan Youngblood both tabbed 11 points. Grigsby led the Polars with 8 rebounds. Crown went 37-79 from the field shooting 46.8% and 13-31 from three-point range shooting 41.9%.
The Polars move to 1-1 on the season and will next take on UW-River Falls tomorrow Saturday, November 16
th on the road at 7pm.
