St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars volleyball team took on Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday and fell 3-0.
The Vikings jumped out in front 14-7 to start the first set and didn't look back winning the set 25-16. A couple of Polars tallied a few kills each. Crown got the early lead against the Vikings in the second set and fell behind by a score of 14-8. Bethany Lutheran took the advantage to win set two.
The third set saw the Polars jump back out in front 6-4 and maintain a 7-6 lead. An eight to two run saw the Vikings take the lead and come out on top 25-18.
Alyssa Heagney led the offense with 6 kills.
Emma Bottelberghe notched 13 digs and
Brooke Rummel added 15 assists.
The Polars fall to 5-7 on the season and 1-5 in UMAC play. Crown will next head on the road to face off with Carleton on Tuesday, October 8th at 7pm.
