St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars men's soccer team took on North Central on Saturday morning and came out with a 5-1 victory.
Just over a minute into the contest
Jose Lovera scored the first goal of the day, his 4th on the season. In the 11th minute Crown scored their second goal this time off the foot of
Pedro Silveira. Just moments later the trio of Lovera, Silveira, and Jackson once again found the back of the net after Jackson put one in goal to take the 3-0 lead.
North Central found their first goal in the 27th minute and at halftime Crown held the 3-1 advantage. It did not take long for the Polars to score once again in the second half as Jackson found his second goal of the day after an excellent ball in from
Juan Fernando Arriaga. Then arguably the play of the game came off the foot of
Ivan Luis Celedon scored his first career goal in his last home contest as a senior. Crown earned the win 5-1.
Leo Roque totaled 1 save in goal and Jackson had an amazing effort with 2 goals and 1 assist.
Crown moves to 9-8 on the season and an excellent 9-3 in UMAC play and will next head to Bethany Lutheran on Tuesday, October 30th for a 4:30pm match that could have large seeding implications as the Vikings and Polars are battling for a top two spot in the conference.
