New Ulm, MN - Polars Volleyball headed on the road for a contest with the Martin Luther Knights and dropped the contest 3 sets to 1.
Crown got off to a hot start holding and maintaining the lead for the entire first set. The second set saw the opposite as the Knights jumped out to an early lead but the Polars were able to stick with them tying the set up at 23 each. The Polars were ahead 24-23 but eventually dropped the set 28-26 moving the score to one set each. The third set saw four lead changes and the Knights edged out in front 25-22. The fourth set ended up being the final set as the Knights finished the contest 25-21.
Alyssa Heagney led the offensive attack and totaled 12 kills.
Sydney Cotten followed shortly behind with 9 kills.
Kamber Brown had a solid statistical day with 22 assists.
Maggie Claussen continued her good defensive play with 25 digs.
Morgan Wilson also recorded 15 digs.
Crown will take the short trip to Bethany Lutheran tomorrow for an early 11am match.
