Minneapolis, MN - The Polars volleyball team headed on the road for the UMAC opener to North Central falling 3-1.
Crown fell behind early in the first set and ultimately dropped the first set 26-24. The Polars would fall behind in the second set but were able to battle back and win the set with an ace from
Emma Holey and a kill from
Sydney Cotten. A close third set gave the Rams an upper hand and the Polars couldn't climb back in and fell in four sets.
Alyssa Heagney led the offensive attack as she had all season with 10 kills.
Shaelyn McNeill led the Polars setters with 16 assists.
Maggie Claussen led the defensive effort with 24 digs, Heagney totaled 16 digs, and Holey had 14.
The Polars fall to 2-9 on the year and 0-1 in UMAC play as they return to action on Tuesday, September 19th at 7pm on the road at UM-Morris.
