Duluth, MN - The Polars went on the road to take on the Saint Scholastica Saints and fell 38-18.
The Saints scored the first points of the game to take the 7-0 lead. Crown drove right down the field and set up for a field goal but were unable to come away with points. The first half was all Saints as the Polars struggled offensively, the score at the half read 31-0 Saints out in front. Late in the second half the Polars scored their first points of the game on a 9 yard touchdown pass from
Diego Narezo to
Isaiah Anfield. Freshman quarterback
Koby Truehill threw a touchdown to Anfield with four minutes to play and ran one in to put the score at 38-18 and that would be the final score.
Narezo led the passing attack for Crown as he went 38-60 on the day for 333 yards passing and 1 passing touchdown. Narezo set the single game record for completions in a game. Truehill went 2-3 for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Jonathan Wamsley led the rushing with 9 carries for 14 yards. Three Polars finished with over ten receptions as Anfield led the way with 14 receptions for 133 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns for a career best.
Christoff Seneca totaled 10 catches for 115 yards and
Jonathan Wamsley totaled 10 catches for 58 yards.
Rudy Criner continues to dominate on the defensive side of the ball as he finished with 16 total tackles.
Nathan Tomlinson totaled 11 tackles on the day. Both
Junior Doe and
Jared Pardee notched 8 tackles.
Tristan Krank got his first career interception in the contest.
The Polars fall to 0-3 on the season and return home to Old National Bank Stadium to take on Austin College next Saturday, September 23rd at 12pm.
